The Antarctic mission of the icebreaker Laura Bassi is completed

After more than 12,000 miles traveled and 40 days of sailing from the port of Lyttelton in Italy, the icebreaker Laura Bassi arrived today at the port of Ravenna, officially ending its mission in the oceanographic campaign of the 38th Italian expedition of the National Research Program in Antarctica (PNRA), funded by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) and led by ENEA for logistical planning and by the National Research Council (CNR) for scientific planning.

After two missions affected by pandemic restrictions, the 2022-2023 campaign was a regular campaign that also saw the resumption of study activities on Laura Bassi in full force.
