The new technologies developed by OGS, often in collaboration with large companies, are reflected in several patents owned or co-owned by OGS.

OGS currently holds 10 patents that can be classified into three main groups regarding:

  • acquisition and processing of seismic signals during drilling;
  • detection and processing of seismic signals;
  • devices and methods to break apart sediment samples in deep water.
