Seislab is a hardware/software infrastructure constituting an environment for the integration of geophysical software and data.
Based on the concept of hardware virtualization, Seislab helps the user in performing part or all of the steps of processing and analyses considered in the workflow.
Each geophysical application, whether commercial or built in-house, is integrated in the environment and runs on a software-dedicated virtual machine. Thanks to its modularity, new applications can be added to the system any time.
Although accessible, with the appropriate credentials, from any personal computer within the institution, the virtual infrastructure is complemented by a laboratory equipped with six terminals available to any OGS staff member or accredited guest upon request.
The laboratory also includes a space equipped for teaching sessions, presentations and seminars for a small audience (8–10 people).
