June 2023: opening of the second MINKE Transnational Access Call

The second MINKE Transnational Access Call will be opening shortly in June 2023.

MINKE (“Metrology for Integrated marine maNagement and Knowledge-transfer nEtwork”) is a currently ongoing EU H2020 INFRAIA (“Integrating and opening research infrastructures of European interest”) project that has brought together 16 key European marine metrology research infrastructures to coordinate their use and development in the context of an innovative framework for qualifying oceanographic information geared towards meeting emerging marine observing needs.

MINKE Calls for Transnational Access (TNA) provide actors from Science, Academia and Industry with unique opportunities to make use of elements of the MINKE network to further their operational and institutional goals. These elements include high-quality, mature, ocean observing installations, facilities for technology validation in some specific areas of Ocean Science, and multidisciplinary marine metrology laboratories, all supported by trained and expert staff.

In the upcoming second MINKE TNA call, the Oceanographic Calibration and Metrology Center (CTMO) - the marine metrology and calibration facility of the Oceanography Section of the OGS - will be offering its capabilities for high-end seawater temperature, conductivity and salinity measurements with primary test equipment and reference material for Cal-Val and/or other kinds of experimental activities on a per-day basis.
