The first edition of AMARE-MED, held in 2017, represented an occasion for PhD students, researchers, post-docsand policy-makers engaged in fisheries management to learn about models specifically developed for multispecies approaches (MICE and GADGET). Topics covered for each methodology considered included data requirements, how to deal with data deficiencies, and how models can provide practical scientific adviceto policy and management included in depth applications of Management Strategy Evaluation (MSE) to single species, two species with technical interaction, multispecies.
The school was held from 30 July to 5 August 2017 in Granitola Torretta (Italy).
