The annual meeting of the OGS Scientific Council has concluded: two days of thematic meetings with researchers, focus groups, and poster sessions
The annual meeting of the OGS Scientific Council ends today in Trieste. The two-day event included thematic meetings with researchers, focus groups and poster sessions to share achievements and outline future priorities.
The Scientific Council of the OGS is comprised of seven esteemed scientific professionals: four external members, selected from internationally renowned Italian and foreign scientists working within public or private research organisations in the same fields of expertise as OGS, and three researchers from the Institute, elected by the organisation's scientific staff.
The Council is responsible for providing opinions on the Institute's strategic direction, particularly the ten-year Strategic Vision Document and the Three-Year Plan of Activities and Organization, as well as on the structure and governance of research, and on the evaluation of scientific activities and the results achieved.
This year, the Council's annual meeting has once again seen extensive participation from the entire community, providing a valuable opportunity to foster intergenerational and cross-sector dialogue, as well as to strengthen a collective and shared vision of the scientific mission of the OGS.
