OGS at the Vatican for Pope Leo XIV’s meeting with the Presidents of Italian Public Research Institutions

A significant moment took place today at the Vatican on the occasion of the meeting between His Holiness Pope Leo XIV and the Presidents of Italy’s public research institutions.

The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on the role of research and knowledge in serving individuals, society and the common good, in light of the Encyclical Magnifica Humanitas.

It was also an important reminder of the responsibility of the scientific community in addressing the major challenges of our time, and of the value of science as a tool for dialogue, cooperation and building the future.

OGS was represented by its President, Nicola Casagli, together with the Presidents of the other Italian national research institutions.
