Proposta progettuale NICE-Italy - Avviso di manifestazione di interesse per le imprese
Within the framework of the project proposal "NICE-Italy - Evoluzione ed Innovazione del Nodo Italiano di ECCSEL ERIC: continuità e sviluppo strategico", coordinated by the OGS and involving as co-proposing entities the University of Bologna, the Politecnico di Milano, ENEA, CNR-ITAE and CNR STEMS, INGV, and the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, A notice of expression of interest has been published to encourage the participation of companies in order to promote research and innovation activities by fostering the shared use of data, services and facilities for the development of joint projects and technology transfer.
The proposal, currently under preparation, is being submitted in response to the public call issued by the Ministry of University and Research No. 310 of 18/03/2025, “Enhancement of public Research Infrastructures (RIs) operating within the S3 framework for the technological advancement of enterprises” (“Potenziamento delle Infrastrutture di Ricerca (IR) pubbliche che operano in ambito S3 finalizzato all’avanzamento tecnologico delle imprese”), Action 1.1.1 of the National Research, Innovation and Competitiveness Programme for the Green and Digital Transition 2021-2027 (PN RIC 2021–2027).
The overall objective of the NICE-Italy project is to consolidate the Italian facilities that are part of the ECCSEL ERIC infrastructure by strengthening and expanding the results already achieved, with the aim of promoting the development and internationalisation of research in Italy across the entire CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilisation, Transport and Storage) value chain. Particular attention will be given to the needs of the regions of Southern Italy through the further enhancement of ECCSEL laboratories and the inclusion of new strategic facilities, which will enable the expansion of the Italian node and the strengthening of its capabilities.
