Gilda Savonitto

I work as a Technologist at the Oceanographic Calibration and Metrology Center (CTMO - https://www.ogs.it/en/oceanographic-calibration-and-metrology-center-ctmo) of OGS, where I deal with the calibration and quality control of oceanographic and environmental instrumentation, the development of dedicated technical protocols, and data analysis and elaboration. 

I earned a PhD in Environmental Life Sciences at the University of Trieste, after a BSc in Environmental and Natural Sciences and a MSc in Global Change Ecology. During my studies, I have always had a particular interest for marine sciences. Building on a solid background in environmental sciences, I have oriented my focus toward the marine sector, aiming to converge a global ecological perspective with the technical applications of oceanographic research.
