Giovanna Gilleri is a postdoctoral research fellow in international and comparative law at The Laboratory on Quantitative Sustainability, National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics (OGS); Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Law, Université Catholique de Lille (Lille and Paris); and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Political and Social Sciences, University of Bologna. At OGS, she researches in comparative human rights and the legal dimension of sustainability, particularly relating to the way sustainability measurement impacts people’s right to mental health. She is also an expert in critical feminist, queer and psychoanalytical approaches to law. Giovanna holds a PhD in international human rights law (EUI); an LLM in comparative, European and international (EUI); an LLM in human rights, conflict and justice (SOAS); and a combined LLB+LLM (University of Trieste). She was previously a postdoctoral research fellow in international law and Spanish language and translation at the Department of Legal, Language, Interpreting and Translation Studies, University of Trieste within the project GenDJus – Rights and Prejudice; a postdoctoral research fellow at the Departmental Centre for Law and Pluralism, University of Milan-Bicocca; gender and land rights intern at UN FAO; legal intern at the European Court of Human Rights; and visiting researcher at the University of Helsinki.
