My research activity is focused on the marine carbon cycle, in particular on the dynamics of dissolved organic matter (DOM).

My studies are mainly focused on the Mediterranean Sea, in order to study:

• the impact of riverine inputs on coastal areas;
• the impact of anthropic activities on the DOM dynamics;
• the relationship between dissolved organic matter (DOM)  and the microbial communities.
